A candle compresses a window of trading into four numbers: where price opened, the highest it traded, the lowest it traded, and where it closed. The BODY (thick part) is open→close. The WICKS (thin lines) are the extremes it visited but couldn't hold.
Bodies are conviction, wicks are rejection
- Big body, small wicks = one side dominated the whole window. Momentum is real.
- Long lower wick + close near the high = sellers pushed down and got overwhelmed. Buyers defended.
- Long upper wick + close near the low = a rally got sold. Someone big used the strength to exit.
- Tiny body with wicks both ways (a 'doji') = stalemate. Often marks exhaustion after a run.
One candle is a hint, not a signal. Location decides meaning: a rejection wick AT a support level is worth ten in the middle of nowhere.
On the 1-second chart the same grammar applies at high speed — bodies stacking one direction is an impulse; wicks growing against the move is the first sign it's tiring. The house 600/1200 strategy is built on exactly that rhythm.
Watch it live
Below is the real BTC tape, right now, one candle per second. Watch bodies and wicks form in real time — every concept above is happening continuously on this chart.
Real trades, streamed live, compressed into tick candles so the playbook’s rhythm is watchable: this fast/slow SMA pair is the 600/1200 logic at 10× speed — crossovers print every few minutes. Skip the big first move, watch for the reverse cross. Educational display only.
